

Welcome to Richmond Hill Taekwondo Training Center. Originally developed as a
means of self-defense, Taekwondo has developed into a competitive sport while still
retaining the traditional background that martial arts are known for. Literally translated,
Taekwondo means "the way of striking with hand and foot."
Benefits of studying Taekwondo include improved physical condition, confidence, and
discipline. After years of training, the entire body can be used to defend against attacks
from any direction or height. Techniques learned in Taekwondo are used in sport
competition, demonstrations, and in life-threatening situations.
Personal Conduct Training is a natural extension of Martial Arts Training. It is no secret
that throughout history, martial arts training has developed a person martial arts
techniques as well as their personal character. A martial arts studio provides the perfect
disciplined setting within which lessons in appropriate conduct may be taught. Day care
centers and after school programs cannot offer a comparable program.
Martial Arts training began with the premise that the knowledge and physical disciplines
handed down through centuries of instructors can directly enhance the quality of life in
this day. We believe that the concept of readiness balanced with a peaceful existence
can equip us to face the everyday challenges which inevitably cross our paths.
It is our hope that this site will spark the reality that within you there is a person of great
potential. Whether it is realized through the training offered by our training center or
through some other medium, it is your personal responsibility and quest to harness that
potential in the most constructive and fulfilling ways possible.
